The Attachment Revolution is a space to build something stronger.

We teach how to become the person where a relationship can thrive.

Attachment (noun):

The biological and emotional imperative to move toward closeness with another human being.

Revolution (noun):

A fundamental transformation in the way something operates.

The Relational Alarm System

You know those moments when you're trying to stay calm and connected,

but suddenly something inside you snaps?

Does this sound familiar?

You shut down, go numb, or disappear inside your head.

Or you lash out, overexplain, or overfunction for your partner.

Later you think about it and wonder why you could've kept your cool or just slowed down.

You're exhausted and barely have the bandwidth to deal with your kids, work, or friends...not to mention any time for yourself.

You feel hurt, constantly, and are angry that you have to feel so alone when your partner is, literally, right there.

You feel unloved, unwanted, and like your only purpose is to bring a paycheck or childcare.

You never have sex anymore, and when you do it's, honestly, not great.

Why does this happen?

Your body has a security system, call it The Relational Alarm System. When you are in a conflict with the person you care about it that disconnection feels like a threat and the alarm blares. It's like a fire alarm telling you to get the hell out of the house.

And here's the thing, whatever you do when it activates:

Yell

Criticize

Try and fix it, even at 2am as you replay it in your mind

Go quiet

Manage your partners emotions, actions, and decisions

Apologize and reassure while quietly crying inside

That move almost always triggers your partner too.

So they do their move, and you do yours. And suddenly you are no longer responsive & reachable.

Most relationship guidance focuses on the communication: better words, better timing, better skills. That matters. But when alarm is activated, communication is the last thing you have access to. What actually needs to shift is the pattern underneath. The one that was built in your past and now plays out in every conflict, making you feel miles apart despite being close enough to touch.

The Secure Home Base Relationship

You get stuck when The Relational Alarm System activates and you don't know how to turn it off. Then reconnection feels very far away and you may even wonder if it's achievable - after all, you keep getting into this same pattern again...and again...and again.

I do one thing and I do it really well.

I teach people how to build the capacity to turn off the alarm, develop, and then return to their Secure Home Base relationship.

Imagine a relationship that is Responsive & Reachable enough to be Deeply Connected:

  • Conflict feels easier to move through and resolution is attainable

  • You no longer are exhausted and distracted during your day thinking about what happened last night

  • You no longer worry that you are unlovable or that your partner doesn't care

  • You can talk about your concerns, hurts, hopes, and dreams together without it falling apart

  • You don't awkwardly move around the house in silence, wishing that your partner would just reach out but they never do

  • You feel excited to come home

  • Household chores, childcare, and the mental gymnastics of a relationship become a team sport instead of a solo slog

This is for people in relationships, people doing this work solo while their partner isn't engaged yet, and people between relationships who don't want to carry the same patterns forward.

Work Privately With Dr. Rachel

For Individuals and Couples Ready to Break the Cycle

Theoretically, you know what you’re supposed to do in conflict.

Stay calm. Don’t shut down. Say the thing before it turns into the thing.

But knowing the thing, isn't the same and doing the thing.

We feel safe enough to change, regulate, and try new things with the safety of another person by our side.

As a licensed psychologist and certified EFT couples therapist with over 12 years of clinical experience, I’ve sat with hundreds of people as the alarm sounded. I've seen the panic, the hurt, the disappointment.

I become the safe space for you to learn, grow, and practice change.

Working privately with me is a complete educational and implementation experience.

I will teach you what's happening and why. Then we'll work on interrupting the specific pattern that's running in your relationship so this process is tailored to you, your partner, and your situation.

You're ready if:

  • Things feel high stakes and this is too important to navigate without support

  • Your relational patterns move too fast to catch on your own

  • You're tired of generic guidance and want a tailored approach to your specific patterns, relationship, and how your alarm protects

  • You're ready to look at yourself and own the part that your playing in this ongoing pattern

  • You're ready to show up honestly, stay present, and practice something new

This is not for you if:

  • This is a final checkbox before you can leave the relationship, but your heart isn't in it

  • You're hoping this will fix your partner for you

  • You're not open to exploring your own role in the dynamic

  • You're navigating an active crisis such as abuse, untreated trauma, or addiction...that requires appropriate care with a therapist

  • You're looking for a quick fix, a silver bullet, or a strategy that works without discomfort

How this works

Most coaching models are built around the session. You show up, do the work, and then wait a week to process what happened. Real life, unfortunately, does not wait a week.

This model is built differently. I provide periodic pre-recorded lessons. Then the live zoom session is the consolidation point: a focused monthly call where we go deep, map what’s shifted, and set clear direction for the next phase of work. But the real coaching happens in the in-between.

Through Voxer text, voice messaging, and email you have access to me Monday through Thursday, 9am–4pm EST. When the conversation goes sideways on a Tuesday night, you don’t have to hold it alone until your next session. You can send a message. I’ll respond with something you can actually use — a reframe, a practice, a different way to hold what just happened — so the moment becomes material for the work rather than another thing you’re managing on your own.

This is what makes async coaching more high-touch than session-based work — not less. Your actual life is the curriculum. The cycle gets interrupted in context, not in a recap of it four days later.

What happens when we begin

  • You’ll receive a private link to schedule your first session — simple and straightforward.

  • In our first call, we’ll map your current relational patterns and identify what’s keeping you stuck clearly and without blame.

  • You’ll be added to Voxer and given clear guidelines for how to use between-session support effectively.

  • We’ll use your actual conversations, conflicts, and triggers to guide the work across the month so everything stays relevant and immediately usable.

  • Over time, you’ll build the ability to slow down, turn off the Relational Alarm System, see the cycle for what it is, and become Responsive & Reachable so you're the kind of partner who is building a Secure Home Base ready for Deep Connection

Hey! I'm Dr. Rachel Orleck

I am the founder of the Attachment Revolution and host of the Coupled With... Podcast. I have been a licensed psychologist and certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist for over 12 years. In that time I have worked with hundreds of thoughtful, capable people to understand and interrupt the disconnects that set off The Relationship Alarm System. The relationship patterns of our childhood or past end up repeating themselves endlessly creating emotional exhaustion before the problem can even be resolved.

I created The Attachment Revolution to consolidate the insight and practical integration needed to move from alarm to build and create deep connection in your new Secure Home Base.

✶ What I've Watched Change ✶

From my over a decade in this work

The person who came in convinced they were “too much” gradually stop apologizing for how they're wired. They didn’t become less feeling. They became more grounded. And the relationship had more room to breathe because they stopped shrinking to create it.

The person who had been the “reasonable one” for so long they’d forgotten about their own needs. Who spent the first few sessions describing their partner’s patterns in forensic detail. And then, slowly, they started turning the lens around to understand their role in the pattern. That shift is where things started to move.

The couple who arrived certain the problem was communication and they just needed better scripts, better timing, better words. What they found instead was that the words were not the primary issue. Two people in protection mode don’t need a better sentence. They need to feel safe. Once they had that, the conversations changed.

The partner who at first came determined to do everything to make the relationship work, even at their own expense. But over time realized that their partner wasn't willing to join them. Then the work changed to understanding their own relational alarms and making a decision to end the relationship and use this work to not repeat those patterns in their next relationship.

The person who was finally able to notice their relationship wasn't on fire long enough to reach to their partner for connection...and their partner reached back.
